Gandolf Vs. Balrog

Gandalf and the Fellowship of the rings(his followers) are together. As Balrog chases them down his followers abandon him. This symbolizes When the disciples abandon Jesus. With Gandolf having no choice he falls into the Abyss to fight Balrog. This is like when Jesus dies on the cross for us. After a struggle Balrog dies and Gandolf"dies" but rises again. Gandolfs death and revival are exactly like Jesus's passion, death, and resurrection.
