M.R 4F: Analysis of tweet

  1. PROBLEM SOLVING: Reasons for Resurrection. Make a blog post, educreations, or idea sketch.
    • Mr. Healey posted a tweet. (Look below to read it)  Someone responded back. (look below to read it.)  Use your problem solving skills to show why Mr. Healey is right and the other person is wrong.
      1. hint 1: know the difference between supporting a cause/faith and supporting a fact/real event.
      2. hint 2: You have to be able to understand they would be purposefully lying, so are promoting a lie, not just a faith in something.
      3. hint 3: We are talking about the eyewitnesses and first believers, not Christians a century later.

Conor claims that the Resurrection is justfied through the strength and fortitude of the individuals who tested it. When the other guy claims that this can be the case for every other belief system in the world, he is wrong. Unlike Islam and Nazism, the apostles were putting their lives, and furthermore, their salvation on the line specifically by abandoning their God of Judaism by following Christ's teachings. Why would many of these individuals go to their death to believe that they were just lying? Doesn't make sense. For the Resurrection to be justified through the Apostle's deaths, they would have to believe in something with all their being.
