Our sins are forgiven throught the sacrament of Reconciliation and throught God's forgiveness, and throught other sacraments such as Eucharist, and Baptism. Christ gives us the the ideas of forgiveness throught Christ being the ultimate intermediary throguth God. One example of this is when Christ forgives the prostitute's sin, and when he said "I forgive YOU." Christ dies for us to atone for our sins.
